A dive bar bastion of (only) craft beer. I’d encourage you to tip (if you haven’t read the other reviews) - the beer is relatively cheap already. They had my favorite movie on during my birthday, so I’d say it’s not bad of a spot.

I this bar. One of my favorites. Excellent selection of beer. A must go to for true beer lovers. No frills attached, just the best of the best local & seasonal drafts. It won't break your wallet. Great staff, full of locals & tried & true beer lovers. I'll be a customer until they 86 me! I've been a customer since 2004! The jukebox is pretty bad ass as well.

November 2024: First time here after hearing many great things about the bar. The beer on tap selection was very impressive. Many local top breweries were available including a long list from Russian River & Cellarmaker. Also had some hard to find breweries including Sante Adarius, Pure project. I tried a Full Petal IPA from Sante Adarius which was excellent . They let you bring in food. We had sausages from Berliner Berliner that paired well with the . Service was fine. Lots of reviews talk about how the bartenders are rude. I didn't have that experience. Would definitely come back again.

World’s best beer bar. Unreal taplist. Hope it never closes.

Went here on a Wednesday afternoon. Parking not too hard to find and it wasn't too busy. What can be said about this place? It's legendary in the craft beer industry! Great, hard-to-find beers on tap, reasonably priced, a good to-go selection, great vintage bottle list and very dive-bar environment. CASH ONLY! Overall, this is one of the mecca destinations for craft beer bars. Go!

The beer geek's first choice in SF is Toronado, a no-nonsense dive bar featuring many great local beers on tap, and an impressive selection of highly sought after bottles. A great place to mingle with an alternative, peace-loving crowd.

What a phenomenal place to stumble upon. I dive craft beer bar with welcoming regulars. Cash only but they have an atm. They were showing multiple early 90s dystopian films during our visit. If I lived in SF I’d absolutely be a regular here.

Yep. Fully deserved reputation. First time I’ve used cash in years but that’s cool. Drank Pliny; great wild ales and a superb impy.
